SUMMER 2007! [22 Sep 2006]
So far Spring & Summer have been splendid, with a good number of clients staying with usl. There is so much to do in the Alps during the summer and it is our hope that we can encourage more people to see the Alps as an autumn venue as well. During September and October the weather can be at its best, the trees are changing colour, there are many fewer people and lots of appealing space. It is at this time that we will offering a range of walking holidays.
A BREATH TAKING TRIP UP THE AIGUILLE DU MIDI. [22 Sep 2006]
In preparation for our winter link with Mountaintracks*, who are using us as a base for two weeks of off-piste skiing, we asked Nick Parks, their lead guide, to take a group of Australian clients on a summer stroll up to the Aiguille du Midi and on across the Vallee Blanche to the Pointe Helbronner.
A stroll in the sun turned out to be an exhilarating 4 hours in the snow, something that our Australians loved and that we will certainly organise again.
www.mountaintracks.co.uk* for guided mountain adventure and La vieille Ferme for accommodation & hospitality.
